Vetrina's facade and curtain wall systems are custom made to each project's specifications. Aside from focusing on the general quality of the product, we pay special attention to factors such as thermal and acoustic insulation, sustainability, and energy efficiency throughout the fabrication process, as well as lifecycle of our windows. The constant high quality of our curtain walls is ensured with a rigorous panel of tests and benchmarks that encompass everything from air permeability and water tightness to tensile strength and wind resistance.

Vetrina's facades are constructed from the highest grade 6063 T-5 thermal extrusion aluminum alloy, making them as sturdy as steel, but lighter, and much more resilient and long-lasting than any other material on the market. Our portfolio of building facade systems is complemented by a wide range of mullions and transoms designed to fit any architectural style and set of structural needs. The variety of profiles and their mechanical unions allows for execution of all types of facades (vertical, inclined, 90º corners, corners & polygonals), as well as for oversized and heavy glazing modules.

Drainage

Vetrina Facades have been designed with mullion and transom drainage channels at different levels strategically placed in different planes. This design forces any moisture or condensation into narrow transom drainage channels to the mullions, and from there towards the exterior. The same channels are also utilized for internal ventilation.

Vetrina Curtain Walls are constructed in three modular levels aimed to fit and match any architectural environment, including structures where vertical mullions merge with secondary transoms. While this may introduce a lack of continuity in the drainage channels, Vetrina's systems include intermediate transoms that address the issue and ensure seamless drainage throughout all parts of the system.

Weather Tightness

One of the most important functional roles of a curtain wall or a facade is their ability to withstand harsh weather conditions, and to protect the interior from the elements. Vetrina's facades are designed for total weather tightness: from sand storms – to hurricane-level cyclones, our systems utilize series of specially designed interior and exterior gaskets, moisture barriers, and critical transom-to-mullion joints, as well as tear strip gaskets and vulcanized angle joints for the edges of the first and last panels. The strip gaskets function internally in tandem with the mullions by offering the ability to be partially separated along perforated creases where the transoms meet mullions. This provides a moisture-tight elastic support for the milled area of the transom and mullion screwports.

Thermal Insulation

Vetrina's Facade Systems are able to meet the highest standards of thermal insulation and energy efficiency. The exceptionally high levels of insulating performance are achieved through tactical utilization of co-extruded thermal break profiles, combining rigid and flexible PVC with internal air chambers. Our ability to use both types of thermal breaks allows for complete control and versatility when it comes to various glazing environments.

Glazing

Vetrina’s Facade and Curtain Wall Systems allow for a wide range of glazing packages – from an ultra thin single pane of less than 3/16” and up to a 2.5” double glazing chamber for ultimate energy efficiency, acoustic performance, and thermal performance.
