This project is still in progress and will be updated with more photos and information upon completion. For now, we’d like to share this before-and-after transformation of a basement area in a private residence in New Jersey. The homeowner wanted to open up the space by removing the wall between the lower-level living area and the sunlit backyard filled with greenery, replacing it with a panoramic sliding door that leads to a wooden patio.
BEFORE
For this project, we've constructed a custom 3-sash, multi-slide door using our Vetrina Vision aluminum sliding system.
The minimalist frame with its recessed flush track and expansive glass panels create an uninterrupted view of nature, enhancing the sense of space and connection to the outdoors.
Perfect for homes in wooded or scenic areas, it brings the tranquility of the forest right into the living space.
These doors are designed with ultra-slim frames (as little as 20mm sightlines), allowing maximum daylight penetration. This reduces the need for artificial lighting during the day and makes the interior feel warmer and more inviting.
AFTER
Vetrina Vision systems are known for their high-performance thermal breaks and double/triple glazing options. These are especially beneficial in a forested or rural environment such as the one pictured here, where temperatures can vary greatly. The heat stays in during winter and out during summer. The acoustic insulation is another perk, helping to minimize outdoor noise while preserving the peacefulness of the location.
