Vetrina Windows was hired to outfit this residence in NJ with a full set of fenestration products, including large fixed window assemblies and bi-fold door systems that match and emphasize its unmistakable contemporary architectural style. The dark-framed aluminum units complement the black balcony railings, fascia, and exterior accents, while creating a sharp contrast against the stone and light stucco walls.
The tall fixed windows bring natural light deep into the interior and emphasize the residence's height and scale, especially at the corner and double-height areas. The large glass surfaces also allow the outdoor landscaping, pool, and courtyard views to become part of the interior experience.
We designed and manufactured custom floor-to-ceiling windows using our Ardmore Series 70mm aluminum window system. For the ground floor living area, we’ve constructed a Bi-Fold Door that provides an easily movable glass barrier between the indoors and the backyard.
The foyer features a custom sliding door made with our V-4200 aluminum sliding system as an on-demand partition between the interior and exterior, offering excellent views, security, ventilation, and convenience.
At the pool level, the bi-fold doors create a direct transition between the interior living areas and the outdoor patio. For a high-end residential project like this, that flexibility is especially valuable – the doors can function as a secure, weather-sealed exterior wall when closed, while opening the space for entertaining, outdoor dining, and everyday use during warmer months. The use of full-height glass panels keeps the elevations open and refined without interrupting the modern design.
From a builder’s perspective, this type of project requires careful coordination between design, manufacturing, and field conditions. The window and door systems must align cleanly with stone returns, exterior cladding, balcony structures, thresholds, and drainage details. For custom homes and luxury residential developments, the value of a properly manufactured fenestration package is not only in the appearance of the finished product, but also in the precision behind it – consistent sightlines, accurate sizing, durable finishes, and systems that are built to perform as part of the overall envelope.
